Canadian Forces reserve to regular transfer? recruitment is closed?

i am currently in a reserve infantry unit. i asked to be transfered to regular force as armoured soldier about a month ago. a few days ago i spoke with a recruiter who told me all the combat jobs are closed and i might not get a response before a year and it may not work. i have no prior formation, im begining tomorrow at my reserve unit. is it gonna work? also can the reserve pay for the removal of my wisdom teeth
