What to do in high school for college recruitment's?

O.k I'm a freshman becoming a sophomore. I don't want to join any clubs, dance, or sports activities at school or period because I'm scared that I'm going to embarrass myself and not make it. So do colleges focus on extra curricular activities? I have A and B grades. And what can I do to impress colleges that doesn't involve clubs,dance or sports and can lead to a scholarship?
