Would it be cheaper for scientists to use asteroids instead of spaceships? Can we use YU55?

Since it will only be 200,000 miles from Earth, wouldn't it be cheaper if we place our technology on it: since we know its trajectory and no fuel needed just the small chance it might collide with another object however the chances of this after Earth and Moon miss should be minimal. And would be a great expedition to finally get up close with the YU55 since this or other asteroid has the biggest potential to become our Armageddon,
