Is the Tea Party against gay marriage? Or is it just the religious right? Or are they both the same?

The Tea Party confuses me and most Americans. They used to want to eliminate the debt, NOW they are anti-abortion and anti-gay. Maybe conservatives are confused on who to HATE!
