Is this a good first chapter of a story?

To be honest, I was hooked. I think it is really good but confusing. I think maybe it's a little to short for a first chapter.I wanted to read more and this is a very good thing. Your language is very beautiful and the concept seems amusing. But, things got really confusing for me. All in all, this is very very good.
