Does the removal of one's gall bladder eliminate gastritis stomach problems?

One of my son-in-laws many doctors has suggested this procedure, stating that it may help. However, he immediately stated that it doesn't always help. I am concerned, as the removal of the gall bladder, allows more bile acid to enter the stomach and from what I have read taxes the liver double time. He just turned 30. Is there a doctor, a medical person or a patient that has any experience in this matter. Thanks!
